Pille
Pille is a singer and pianist with roots in Estonia. She began her musical education in both singing and classical instruments and recognised herself as a promising talent early on. Later, her musical universe expanded through her encounter with the jazz tradition, where improvisation, personal interpretation and her own music came to play an increasingly important role. An extended trip to Southern Europe was a turning point where Pille truly discovered her passion for singing and began to explore her own expression as a vocalist and composer. She continued her musical studies in both the Nordic countries and South America, where she developed a style that
naturally combines American jazz, Nordic soundscapes and inspiration from Brazilian music. In 2016, she was awarded “New Jazz Name of the Year” in Denmark, cementing her position as a significant voice on the jazz scene.
Today, Pille lives in Denmark, where she works as a singer, pianist and composer and performs in a variety of collaborations. Her music is characterised by warmth, lyrical presence and a strong sense of melody - with room for thoughtfulness, lightness and joy of playing.
