Choose solo guitarist for pleasant music
Many will instinctively imagine a a pianist, … when you want some pleasant background music, but other instruments, such as a guitar, can easily do the job just as well – sometimes even better. The guitar is a popular instrument. If you’re looking for acoustic feel-good music, stylish jazz, classical music, folk songs or similar, the guitar can be a good choice.
First and foremost, the guitar has a completely different sound to the piano. Furthermore, the guitar lends itself to a different choice of songs than the piano does. Booking a guitarist for your party could be the right choice for you and your guests, as it’s much easier to see what the guitarist is playing – quite simply because the guitar is designed in such a way that you can see the fingers on the fretboard and in front of the soundhole.
There are many guitarists in Scandinavia, each specialising in a particular genre. There is no all-round guitarist who can play a beautiful romantic piece of music for the wedding, jazz to receptions, for a few joint songs and then join in party bandwhen dancing. That's why it's important to be clear about what you expect from the music before you book a guitar player. If in doubt, we're here to help. Limunt helps ensure great music experiences for more than 300 events a year. We want to create the best music experience for you and your guests.
A stylish choice:
Book a jazz guitarist!
For some clients, it’s quite clear: they want to book one of our many Danish jazz guitarists. The sound of jazz guitar suits many events – even for those clients who might think that jazz can be a bit risky and avant-garde. Jazz on the guitar is, however, far more harmonious and accessible than most people imagine. The guitar is perfect for jazz ballads, a touch of swing jazz and, of course, bossa nova. If you’re looking for a guitar sound that’s a bit different from the usual, we recommend booking a jazz or blues guitarist for your event. For many people, this distinctive sound is a bit cooler and more stylish than more traditional choices. Are you interested in a jazz guitar band? We can arrange that too.

Find the best guitarist for your party
Every party is unique, so the music needs to be tailored to the event so that there is a common thread throughout the experience. If you are looking for the best guitarist in Scandinavia for your event, you need to consider what function the music will have. Do you want good background music for receptions or during dinner? Do you want to book a guitarist for wedding? Or maybe a guitarist for Christmas party? Do you want to book one of the many talented Scandinavian blues guitarists? Looking for a guitar duo? Do you want both sang and guitarist to a party and get the dance floor going? Or do you want a full guitar band with drummer, lead singer and a bass player who can play hits from the last decades? As you can probably hear, there are a lot of choices to make before you are able to make the right decision.
All the considerations come back to what kind of party you're throwing and what your wishes are for the music.
Limunt has selected some of Scandinavia's most talented guitarists. We only book guitarists with whom we have good experience and who we know deliver the goods. Some of our singers can play guitar while singing. By booking one of them you get a more outgoing experience, as the singing adds more expression. We also have guitarists who can play for a sing-along, for example during the wedding. Not all guitarists can do this, as it is a somewhat special discipline on this particular instrument.
Contact us in advance if you want a more traditional guitar player who can also play for community songs.
