Although the saxophone is an instrument that gets noticed, in lounge and reception music the instrument and sound do not require as much attention as a singer will do. Skilled saxophonists can play lounge music without playing too loud and taking over the party.

The saxophone is the obvious choice to lead a duo, trio or quartet playing bossa nova. Bossa nova jazz is booked for many different events. If you're not sure how that sounds, imagine a nice breezy and cool breeze on Ipanema Beach in Rio de Janeiro on a slightly too hot afternoon. Songs like 'Girl From Ipanema', 'Água De beber' and other classics are perfect for this style - laid back, cool and relaxing.
In Limunt we never recommend booking a saxophonist to play solo, as you will be missing another instrument for accompaniment. A saxophone is absolutely perfect with other musicians! For example a duo or a trio with a a pianist or guitarist and double bass. Then the other musicians can keep an eye on chords and harmonies, and leave room for the saxophonist to go wild!
One of our most booked solutions is the trio with saxophone in front. Such a trio can have both a groovy and soulful sound or have a jazzy expression. It all depends on your wishes for your event. Both genres create a wonderful and cosy atmosphere for most events.

How far in advance is it recommended to book music?
It is recommended to book as early as possible if you have a very specific request for the music. This gives you the opportunity to consider the various options. We often get requests for music several years in the future. However, due to our large roster of musicians, we are also able to handle many last-minute requests with a few days' notice. How much is live music for private events?
At least 2 x 2 meters, but much preferably more. Remember to provide an electrical outlet in the immediate vicinity and a roof if the event is held outdoors.
