Video production for musicians and bands - photographer and videographer for live music!

Emphasise your musical brand with outstanding video productions from Limunt Productions

We've been producing content for our own bands and concepts since 2016. And we've become pretty good at it. It was therefore natural for us to launch a concept in 2024 called Limunt Productions, where we help musicians, artists and bands bring their musical talents to life through video productions. We believe that a well-produced live video is not only a marketing tool, but also a unique way of expression that can convey the mood and message of your music in a unique and captivating way. If you're a singer, artist or band looking to stand out from the crowd and impress potential clients and bookers, let's explore why a professional music video is essential to your brand.

1. Live video with visual appeal!

We live in a visually orientated world where images and videos have a huge impact on how we perceive the world around us. Even if your talent as a musician is primarily tied to How you soundPeople still largely buy with their eyes. Studies show that more than 90% of all bookers check out bands and musicians on youtube.com before making a booking. For individuals, businesses and venues alike, how you look when you perform is of great importance. It's not about smiling the most, dancing the most wildly or wearing the most colourful clothes - it's about showing who you are and presenting your music in a visually stimulating way that not only grabs people's attention but also gives them a deeper insight into your personality, your expression as an artist and - and the right location can really be the most beautiful setting for your music.

2. The professional appearance

In an industry brimming with talent, it's important to stand out as a professional and dedicated musician or band. A well-produced video not only signals your passion for your craft, but also your willingness to invest in your brand and career. It sends a clear signal to potential clients and bookers that you take your music seriously and strive for quality in everything you do. That you didn't just record a video on your phone from a dark rehearsal room - you've invested in yourself and your concept.

3. Differentiation in volume

In a time when the content market is saturated with music from both established artists and up-and-coming talent, it can be challenging to stand out from the crowd. A unique and well-produced live video can be the key to attracting attention and differentiating yourself from the competition. By creating something that stands out and captures the imagination of viewers, you can increase your visibility and reach a wider audience.

4. Experience and expertise in video production

We at Limunt Productions have been involved in music content production since 2016. Examples of our productions

1. One Camera & One Microphone

The easiest and simplest version of a video live session: A single camera that captures everything that is played/sung without the need for a monitor, click, playback and the like. A single microphone and sound card that handles the audio side.

Post production

Sound: Simple mix and master
Video: Simple colour grading, adjusting contrast, exporting different formats etc.

2. One Camera, One Microphone and One Instrument

Almost the same as version 1 - but here the artist also plays an instrument. It doesn't make it much more difficult to record a guitar or piano as well - and in most cases everything can be recorded live without playback, dub etc.

3. Live recording of 'concert'

If you're playing a live concert or live music somewhere, the right video and audio production can be one of the coolest and most honest ways to showcase your music. Here's a street concept we shot live-in-action with just a single videographer who had a microphone mounted directly on the camera. The sound turns out ok - but would be far better under more controlled conditions, but ok for a handheld production.

4. Playback to recorded audio

For this production, we prioritised recording the sound in advance in a sound studio as we had to gather many different artists on the day. It can be really extensive with a larger production if all the audio has to be recorded at the same time as video. Performing playback to your own sound (instrument or vocals) can ensure that you as an artist are more relaxed and outgoing, as you have played or sung properly before, but now just need to focus on the visuals.

5. Record audio + video simultaneously

This kind of production places great demands on the audio production team, the video production team and the artists. Many channels have to be recorded at the same time, monitors have to be made for all the performers, the artists have to sing great and look good at the same time. It's easy for most musicians to be comfortable on stage, but when there's an entire camera and sound production crew in front of you without an audience, it typically takes a few takes to be satisfied with the result. On the other hand, 'what-you-see-is-what-you-get' is incredibly charming.

6. Recording audio and then video

If your schedule is flexible and you don't have to record a lot of songs in one day, it's worth splitting a recording day into two: You start by recording audio on location. When you're happy with the recording, you can remove headphones, most microphones and then film yourself performing playback to your own performance earlier in the day. It is almost You could say live, as you've just recorded the audio part and it's in your body.

7. Recording audio and then video v.2

Almost the same approach as in No. 6, but here a slightly lighter version, as the instruments themselves have sound boxes and thus did not require the large technical equipment such as amplifiers, monitors etc. to be produced. The natural light and natural acoustics in the beautiful rooms on the estate made it easier for us to achieve a complete production.

How much does it cost to produce a live video?

It depends on your level of ambition, what kind of artist you are, whether you want us to rent a location for you, come with an entire production, or if we come to your rehearsal room where you are responsible for recording the sound yourself.

One of the factors that also comes into play, of course, is the amount of material you want to record. Do you just need to record a single song? Or do you want to film an entire concert?

The easiest thing to do is to reach out to us at productions@limunt.com and share your thoughts. We'll get back to you as soon as we can.
